Expect the Unexpected!

Expect the Unexpected
God's way is always the best!

This past weekend, we hosted our first annual "Back to School Community Festival" and "Light the Runway" fashion show.  It was an amazing event that took months of planning. My greatest fear came to light when it started raining and everyone had to run indoors. For a split second I felt like a failure but then I realized that there will always be situations in which it simply be out of my control. I then started to laugh.  What was I going to do? Cry? For what? It was not going to stop the rain.

God has a sense of humor and He will show it when you least expect it. The mere fact that my plans did not come out the way that I expected them to, does not mean that they were not within God's plans. All in the contrary, God wanted to teach me something and I quickly learned that day that His way is always better. 29 lives came to Christ that day and in my book, that's a success! We had an amazing turnout and guess what? Despite the rain, people kept showing up! God is so good!

The word of God says:“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,  nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. (Isaiah 55:8)This means that we may have plans, which it's good! It's always nice to be organized and prepared but always having in mind that God may have other plans. And His plans will always be better than ours.

The problem is that we get upset when things do not work in our favor. When the unexpected happens, we are not prepared to handle the unknown territory. But that is precisely when we must deposit all of our trust in God, obey His word and maintain our fidelity in Him. He knows best and will always want the best for you. God gives you favor when you are faithful and faithfulness will always get you to the finish line!

Romans 28:8 says that for those who love God, ALL things work out for good. So no matter what your sitiation may be, remember that God has a plan. It may be a negative one but God is ready to re-position it for good!

Be Blessed, Be Encouraged!
