Family keeps you grounded

I look forward to every weekend because its my time to spend with my family, especially on Sundays.  It has become somewhat of a tradition that after Sunday worship, my family and close friends get together for dinner and entertainment.  Family keeps you grounded.  Family generally and genuinely want the best for you and will love you unconditionally.

This reminds me of God's love! His love should always keep us grounded because when we remember what Jesus did on the cross for us, it reminds us of how undeserving we are of anything and everything He does in our lives.  Who are we to deserve his love?  Who are we to deserve his everlasting mercy? Who are we to deserve his blessings? We are his children! The Bible says that we a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light (1Peter 2:9). We are special to him, He loves us despite of how many times we fail, his love is unconditional toward us. God's love keeps us grounded! He is our heavenly Father and He will always want the best for us.

Next time you feel like you are deserving of the possessions or positions you have, remember it is by God's grace that you are where you are and have what you have. The word of God says:  God giveth and he taketh.  Let's remember always that He is deserving of all of our continous praise because in a blink of an eye, He can take it away and give it to someone who will be grateful.  We are blessed because He has allowed us to be blessed!  Just like family keeps us grounded, God's love also keeps us grounded, reminding us that we are here because He has chosen us to be here.

Be Blessed, Be Encouraged!
