As I'm writing this blog, I'm in the airplane heading back to Florida from New Jersey. My husband & I decided to take a couple days to go to his hometown in South Jersey and visit the family. It's always good to spend time with the family especially when they live out of state.
I was able to meet more of my husband's family and friends. I have to say that meeting his older siblings was awesome! They're all amazing people and I'm grateful to have spent time with them.
I would have to say that one of the highlights of the trip was catching up with a cousin of mine that I hadn't seen in 20 years! (I am not old, we were just kids when we last saw each other.) It just so happens that coincidentally, he was on vacation from Venezuela. He was able to get my phone number and when he called, I immediately recognized who he was. After 20 years, we met up and spent the day together with my husband and other cousins and friends. He had never been to NYC so it was cool to share that experience with him for a couple of hours.
Sometimes you just never know who God will place in your path, He is always willing to surprise you beyond measures. Whether it's with a family member you haven't seen in years or with an unexpected blessing, prayer request answered, sickness healed or a miracle revealed. I had always talked about having to go to Venezuela to go see my cousin because I never thought I would see him in the states, but the Lord had other plans. God's plans will always be better than ours and his timing is always impeccable.
I encourage you to keep believing! As long as you are living, you should be Believing!
