102 years of legacy

Hello friends!

Today I want to talk about someone who was very important in my life, my grandmother.  She passed away about a week ago and it's been very tough for our family.  We are still mourning.  Although we miss her very much, we celebrate the long life she had here on earth.  My grandmother lived 102 years, she passed a couple days after her birthday.  She was a very beautiful, happy and kind hearted woman.  We know she is in heaven right now, a place where she no longer suffers but endures everlasting peace and joy.  She left us all a beautiful legacy and she will always be remembered.

My grandmother's passing has made me reflect on my life.  What kind of legacy am I creating here on earth?  What legacy do I want to leave behind?  How do I want people to remember me?  Certainly, I would want to be remembered as a loving and kind person that strived to do good.  What about you?  Each and every day we must work hard to continue to build our legacy because one day we too, will part from this world and people will remember us.  It's up to us how they remember us; either in a positive or negative way, we decide.

It was God's will to allow my grandmother to live 102 years.  She outlived my grandfather, some of her children, her sibilings and other relatives and friends.  I don't know how long I will live, you don't know how long you may live.  Maybe we will not reach 102 but whatever time we are here, let's always remember to make the best of it.  Life is a gift, that is why we live the present because tomorrow is not promised.

I encourage you to live you life to the fullest, take advantage of every opportunity and every blessing God has for you.  Be a positive role model for someone, help somebody that may need your assistance today. Smile, give hugs, give compliments, say I love you and give encouraging words.  You do not know if that small gesture or action will help change someone's life forever. These small yet very important actions are the necessary steps that we need to take on a daily basis in order to create a long lasting legacy. Let's start building...

Be Blessed, Be Encouraged!
