For those who don't know, I love doing radio! I am a host/dj for an online radio station that transmits 24/7 (how awesome is that?!) The station is called Radio Tiempo! Yes, its in spanish, I know but we also play great english music! I like to look at it as a bilingual radio station that caters to every need! :) Check us out: http://www.lasendaantigua.org/ and click on the top right hand corner where it says Radio Tiempo.
Well, today was an awesome day! I had the honor to interview a very important young man! His name is Anel Avila, he is the Regional Youth Director of the whole state of Florida and Georgia! Yes!!! He was in the station with me! Along with a great friend, who happens to be one of his assistant, Jackie Martinez. I always get excited when I have guests on the show! We have lots of fun, a ton of laughter and great information; the audience seems to love it too! :) My favorite part was when Anel sang "acapella" He really did! I commend him for having the guts to do it on live radio!!! (haha.. he did pretty good, I guess!)
Today we were focusing on heavily promoting Winterfest 2011, it's an annual event in which all of the youth of the Southeastern region of the United States gather together for a weekend of worship and great word. Its also a great opportunity to fellowship and meet new friends. This year we have the privilege of having Israel Houghton!!! Yes, I said it, Israel Houghton! If you do not know him; shame on you, where have you been? Lol. He is one of the greatest worship leaders of our time and I'm sure if you youtube him, you are bound to recognize at least one of his songs. FYI: He's amazing!!! Along with Israel Houghton, 4 Trinity will be with us, awesome group of guys! (Look them up too) and Mark Vega will be bringing a powerful and encouraging word. This will be a weekend to remember, you won't want to miss it. Check out the flyer for more info.
I wanted to share this with you today because when you do something you love, its so rewarding! I love music and anything that has to do with it. Yes, I love radio! I also think it is important to support positive and impacting events. So, whenever I get a chance and see of any upcoming events that will benefit the youth or the community as a whole, I will promote it. We are here to impact and change the lives of the people in our communities.
Be Blessed, Be Encouraged!
