The topic of singleness is one very familiar to me. Although, God blessed me with the man of my dreams, and we've been happily married for over a year and half. I can still relate to so many young adults who find themselves "waiting for the one."
People always come up to me and ask, how did you do it? And honestly my answer is "I was just patient." You see the number one mistake is desperation. When you are single, you cannot get desperate and feel as though the "train in about to pass you" No! God holds your world in His hands and His timing is always better than ours. In order for you to received God's best, you must be able to wait and not settle for less! For what? So you can say you have a man or a girl and a couple months later end up getting hurt? It's time to forget about what others may say or think; it doesn't really matter. They are not in your shoes and besides God orders your steps so don't worry, he has your best. Every situation is different and everyone wants to be happy. Everyone wants it quick and easy but everyone doesn't want to be patient and wait, they think time is running out and it's getting too late. The secret is, you must wait!
I came across this video almost two years ago and it's powerful! This is a must see if you are single and waiting for God to bless you with that special person. Don't give up, don't lose hope. He has everything under control.
Are you willing to wait for the best? Or are you tired, maybe embarrassed and just want to settle for less? Instead of focusing on the negatives and feeling sorry for youself, enjoy your single life. Enjoy your freedom, travel, go out, do the things you are able to do now before that prince charming or Cinderella comes along. Now let me clarify something really quick, just because you get married doesn't mean you can't do the things you love, YES u can! I do them all the time with my hubby but its a bit different because you have more responsibilities than before.
So, all my single ladies, and fellas: This is the day that the Lord has made, REJOICE! No more moping around and wondering when is it going to happen. Pray about it, have faith in that God has your life under control and He wants nothing but happiness for you. Get involved in church and other extra curricular activities, surround yourself around positive and encouraging people who can lift you up when you are down. Remember, God is an on-time God, never too early, never too late. He is writing your love story and when you read that last chapter, I assure you it will have a happily ever after!
Be Blessed, Be Encouraged!
