Leap of Faith

It's leap year everyone! We come to see this every four years and it's so exciting and refreshing to see it come along, February 29th. I don't know about you but I see this as a bonus day, an opportunity given to us to live an extra day that otherwise would not be in our calendar. This is a time we only see every four years and we are privilged to enjoy this wonderful day.

I want you to see today as a free day, an extra day God has given you to do something extraordinary! Challenge yourself to do something you would not normally do? I know gas prices are high but maybe pay for someone's gas?  Go to Starbucks and buy a random person a cup of coffee, treat an old friend out to lunch, or pick up the phone and call someone who you haven't spoken to in a while.  Do something different.  In reality, today is not much different then yesterday or than tomorrow because we should always show an act of kindness. But because today won't happen again for another four years, you should challenge yourself to do something different than the ordinary acts of kindness you tend to do.  Trust me, you will feel better about yourself!

So, as we celebrate leap year, let's grab a hold of this opportunity that God has given us, an opportunity to live in a moment of time and space that won't show up again for four more years. I encourage you today to take a leap of faith in something you have been wanting to do or say.  Ask yourself, how can I make this day different? How can I impact someone's life today in a special way?

Do not let fear take hold of what you have been wanting to acheive in life, do not let fear hinder you reaching your goals, do not let it intefere with the dreams you have set out to reach.  As we celebrate leap year, may your mindset be set to take a leap of faith into conquering your heart's desires.  If God placed a dream in your heart, then He will help you obtain it. But it all starts with trusting and believing that with God's help you can do it, are you ready to take a leap of faith?
