Get In The Ring

My husband is a big sports fan, boxing being one of them. So whenever there is an upcoming fight, I begin to dread it because I know the inevitable will happen, yup! I'll end up watching it with him... the things you do for love.. lol

One thing that is very admirable is the fact that these guys train their butts off! They are in the gym day in and day out with a rigorous workout regiment.  Often times, they must sacrifice many things for the sake of the sport; for the sake of acheiving the ultimate goal, which is to win. 

I don't know what your goal in life is? Whether it's to pursue your childhood dreams, become a professional in any industry, form a family, or simply to fulfill God's dreams for your life.  Whatever it is, let me tell you that your victory will not come easy.  Yes, in Christ it is guaranteed! [Wow, how awesome is to know the answers before the questions? I bet you college students love that, huh?] But seriously, the Bible says that we are more than conquerer, meaning that we can overcome anything that is presented to us.  In essence, we have won the fight without even throwing the first punch. He who lives in us [Jesus] is greater than anyone or anything that wants to stop us from reaching our goals. 

With that being said; although the victory is guaranteed, the journey is not promised to be an easy one.  How boring would that be?  The challenges and stumbling rocks in the road is what makes it unique, it makes it YOUR journey! All that is required is for you to get in the ring!  Yes, get in the ring because your personal trainer will be by your side, reminding you of all training you've endured.  You have to trust your trainer, he has more experience, he's been in your position and has won it!  Fight the fight, Endure the fight and Beat the fight!  The bible says that the battle is not yours, it is of the Lord's! You will see an inner strength that will come out of you, don't worry, remember He is in you! Keep digging deep and you will see God's power reflected. 

If you've been thinking of giving it all up, as a coach or trainer would say: Quitters never win! You are almost there, don't give your enemies the satisfaction to see you defeated!  Repeat with me:  I am more than a conquerer through Him who loved me [Romans 8:37]  So, put your gloves on and get back in the ring, you have a fight to win!
