Motherhood & Ministry

Motherhood & Ministry
Guest Blogger: Evelyn Herrera

Being a mother was a dream of mine, but on the other hand, I had another dream…… It was to travel the world and share the love of Jesus through my music with my husband Juan Carlos. I was living my dream, and was also extremely blessed to be able to share this journey with my husband. My husband and I had many conversations on when we would have our first child. We thought we would wait for at least 5 years, but our little angel Mia showed up at 3 years of marriage. It was a joyous occasion, but also uncertain on how we would continue our ministry together with the birth of our child. The support of both of our families were extremely crucial, especially our mothers!

I don't know what we would have done without them. I was content knowing that my baby girl was in the best hands when we had to travel. It was very painful at times, but when those emotions would arise, I would remind myself about this rare opportunity that the Lord gave my Husband and I, to never take for granted. We now have another little blessing, Aria Belle…. She just turned 2 months and I'm enjoying every moment with her at home right now.

I know when our daughters are older, they will understand why Mommy and Daddy had to be away at times, and will especially be proud to know that we were accomplishing our mission to share the Gospel through traveling and singing. I can't wait to see what else the Lord has in store for our family and ministry. I thank Him every single day, for His mercy and Grace. Never take anything for granted. It is never guaranteed.

With all my love,
Evelyn Herrera
