Last night we had our youth gathering; a time a worship and word. And I was speaking about Mephibosheth (read 2Samuel 4:4) who initially had everything going for himself in life. He was to become the next successful and influencial person, his future was set until "something" happened that changed the coarse in his life.
I don't know what that "something" is in your life but God is ready to perform a shift in your life. You see, what was meant for distruction in your life, God is able to turn it around; He is able to turn your curse into a blessing. Last night's theme was: Change is coming your way! Yes, I believe that "change" will be knocking on a lot of people's doors, but only those who are willing to allow God to make those changes. The bible says that joy comes in the morning! You may be weeping all night long but the sunrise will come, that ray of sunlight will shine on you and you will no longer be in sorrow but joy will come. Do you believe that word right now? Change is coming your way!!! God is ready to turn the tables in your favor!
You know what the name Mephibosheth stood for? It meant "Son of shame" What does your name mean? What does your situation represent? Is it shame? anger? bitterness? is it fear? Let me tell you something about fear. Fear is a spirit that does NOT come from God. 2Timothy 1:7 says that God has NOT given us a spirit of fear. Fear hinders us from accomplishing our goals, it stops us from walking in to the opportunities that are presented to us in life. Fear does not allow us to step into the purpose that God has for us. Fear paralyses growth!
Do you know how many times the words "FEAR NOT" appear in the bible? 365 times! That's a verse for everyday of the calendar year. So, next time you feel like you can not do something because your fears have overcome you, remember Fear Not 365. Fear is no longer an excuse! There is a Fear Not word for you 365 times for 365 days.
Be Blessed, Be Encouraged!
