I love this declaration!

I love this declaration! It reminds us that even if you are going through a season of despair, "this too shall pass." Like Psalm 30:5 says, weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. I don't know how long you have been weeping for, I don't know how long you have been sad but God is about to turn some things around in your life because joy is on it's way, everlasting joy!

I love this declaration! Isaiah 61 talks about the year of the Lord's favor and if you can believe that this is the year of favor in your life then there will be an abundance of favor in your life. In my home church www.lasendaantigua.org we have declared that 2014 is the year of Open Doors. This is the year in which God will open doors of opportunities and blessings for many people. This is the year in which your tears will be wiped and you will receive double for your trouble. A double portion will be given to you!

I love this declaration because it is the word of God! It is God's promise and when we believe and stand firm on His word, we shall see the fulfillment of it for He is no man to lie and no son of man to go against His word. His yes is Yes! I encourage you today to wipe away your tears of sorrow because soon you will be rejoicing in the Lord and all of the blessings He has in store for you. Rejoice because the Lord's favor is upon your life, this is your year of fulfillment, this is the year to receive a double portion of God's goodness, love, mercy, favor and blessing ... yes! All in one year!! Brace yourself because what God is about to do in your life is going to be crazy, shocking, jaw dropping, surprising and all of the wow factors you can think of and much more! Do you believe and receive it?!

Respond with Faith

Our faith is tested on a daily basis; some on a higher scale than others but nevertheless, we all go through seasons of tests in our lives. In order for Abraham to be called “The Father of Faith” there were a series of tests he had to pass. His faith; ultimately, is what brought him to a place of blessing where God’s promises in him were fulfilled.

We all have and will continue to encounter seasons in which we will have to “step out” with no evidence of an assured outcome other than God’s word. Situations will arise and you will not see a clear picture but will have to take that leap of faith and rely on that word that God gave you. You may not understand the process but you will understand the outcome; that God is Faithful and His promises are yes and Amen!

It is in those times that we have an opportunity to allow God to stay true to His word and for our faith to grow. Hebrews 11 says that it is “impossible to please God without faith” and that He’s a “rewarder of those that come to Him in faith”. Faith is vital; it is a key component in our relationship with our Lord and Savior. The more we practice faith, the stronger and easier it becomes, think of it as a muscle in which we exercise.

In times of uncertainties, confusions and pain, God will whisper peace, clarity and strength and you’ll respond with faith. You may not know where life is taking you, but God will clear out the clutter and make a way where there is no way. You will walk on the right path that will lead you to where God wants you to be. You will not know all of the answers; you will not need all of the answers, just knowing that He is by your side, leading your steps is more than enough to feel secure and protected.

Listen carefully for that small still voice of God today that is whispering to you and respond with faith knowing that “He will make a way”.

Be Thankful

One of the things I look forward to every morning is my time with Jesus! This is a time where I talk to Him and He talks to me through prayer and the Word. I love reading daily devotionals, I read many of them and I came across this one that I wanted to share with you. With Thanksgiving around the corner, everyone is in the spirit of thankfulness. Enjoy this word!!

…giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. {Ephesians 5:20}

I’ve never met a person who feels sorry for themselves who is upbeat and happy about life. No matter how much they do have in most cases they don’t see it and therefore actually miss the blessing. That mindset comes from comparison; comparing oneself to another.

Comparison is part of the fallout from the Garden of Eden which unlocked the knowledge of “good and evil” in humanity. Now when we assess situations we don’t look at it and say “God made that, it’s awesome!” which was what God intended. Instead we say “That person is better (or worse) than me”. We put a scale of good to bad on everything and then measure our own lives against it. Gal 6:3 says “…don’t compare yourself with others”.

Comparison is damaging and undermines the uniqueness in which God has created each of us. There’s a Jewish proverb that says “I felt sorry for myself because I had no shoes until I met a man who had no feet”. One of the most transformational concepts within the Bible is thankfulness. The power you DO HAVE and that it is a blessing, will literally turn your life around. Things won’t necessarily change externally BUT internally something amazing happens. It’s called peace, joy and the presence of God, which is far more valuable than what you have on the outside, because what you have on the outside is always subject to the decay of this world.

In the Bible, thankfulness is often linked to unlocking God's presence in your life. It’s not that He’s not there, its just that feeling sorry for yourself steals your awareness that He is.

Today, steal yourself against the trap of comparison. Just choose to BE THANKFUL. I’ll leave you with this little saying: If you COUNT all your blessings you’ll always uncover a PROFIT!
