God has designed a perfect plan and a specific purpose for each person who has decided to believe in His word. This book will inspire and allow you to dream and believe in the promises that God has declared. If you've been waiting for an answer from God and still haven't heard anything, lower the volume of the noise surrounding you! He is trying to whisper the answer to your problem. Listen, because the solution might be in the gentle whisper. A Moment of Silence will help you discover your purpose in God and will help you define your position in Him. Its content is light in the midst of darkness and a peace that calms the storm. God speaks in the midst of silence; we simply need to listen. A Moment of Silence will provide you with the direction and clarity you need. Don't miss God's blessing in your life for not distinguishing His voice. His voice will give your life direction and guidance to the destiny He has prepared for you. In the midst of your circumstances, the Lord says, "I have a solution. I have a purpose for your life, and I want to reveal it to you as you stay still. Give Me a moment of silence. Are you willing to be silent and listen to Me"

Be Thankful

One of the things I look forward to every morning is my time with Jesus! This is a time where I talk to Him and He talks to me through prayer and the Word. I love reading daily devotionals, I read many of them and I came across this one that I wanted to share with you. With Thanksgiving around the corner, everyone is in the spirit of thankfulness. Enjoy this word!!

…giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. {Ephesians 5:20}

I’ve never met a person who feels sorry for themselves who is upbeat and happy about life. No matter how much they do have in most cases they don’t see it and therefore actually miss the blessing. That mindset comes from comparison; comparing oneself to another.

Comparison is part of the fallout from the Garden of Eden which unlocked the knowledge of “good and evil” in humanity. Now when we assess situations we don’t look at it and say “God made that, it’s awesome!” which was what God intended. Instead we say “That person is better (or worse) than me”. We put a scale of good to bad on everything and then measure our own lives against it. Gal 6:3 says “…don’t compare yourself with others”.

Comparison is damaging and undermines the uniqueness in which God has created each of us. There’s a Jewish proverb that says “I felt sorry for myself because I had no shoes until I met a man who had no feet”. One of the most transformational concepts within the Bible is thankfulness. The power you DO HAVE and that it is a blessing, will literally turn your life around. Things won’t necessarily change externally BUT internally something amazing happens. It’s called peace, joy and the presence of God, which is far more valuable than what you have on the outside, because what you have on the outside is always subject to the decay of this world.

In the Bible, thankfulness is often linked to unlocking God's presence in your life. It’s not that He’s not there, its just that feeling sorry for yourself steals your awareness that He is.

Today, steal yourself against the trap of comparison. Just choose to BE THANKFUL. I’ll leave you with this little saying: If you COUNT all your blessings you’ll always uncover a PROFIT!

What Can God Do With Difficult Circumstances?

As I was catching up on my devotionals this morning, I came across this particular one that blessed my life tremendously and I wanted to share it with you because I know it will be a blessing to you as well.

The title is: What Can God Do With Difficult Circumstances? By: Samantha Evilsizer

This question often leads us to two things, faith or doubt. We either believe and have faith that God can restore a difficult situation; or we give up and doubt that anything can be done. This devotional will enlighten and bring clarity to this question we often ask; What can God do with difficult circumstances?

“I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted.” Job 42:2 (ESV)

This past year, people I love have had to grapple with some very difficult things—home foreclosures, loss of businesses, empty cupboards, and dry gas tanks. Family and friends have endured marital affairs, children sentenced to jail, another year of unemployment, cars breaking down, churches falling apart.

In the midst of such hardships, it’s easy to doubt God can redeem the pain, recover what’s lost, heal all that’s broken. Can He truly fit the pieces of our suffering into a hopeful future?

If we rely on what our circumstances imply, we may believe the Lord isn’t able to make something good come from our hardships. Or that He won’t. But the truth is, God can and does change our circumstances.

Whether or not God alters our current situation, His power to give a future and hope never changes! We know this based on His Word that stays the same. That’s why it’s important to take action when difficulties weave doubt in to our faith in God’s authority. How do we do this?

For me, refocusing on the truth found in Job 42:1-2 makes a big difference, “Then Job answered the LORD and said: ‘I know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted.”

Reading accounts of God’s faithfulness bolsters us up when all that is around us is crumbling down. When we focus on what God did for others, it reminds us He is able to work on our behalf as well. Take a look at God’s redeeming plans for some of His people throughout the Bible…

While Job’s family, home, crops and health were demolished, God was preparing to give him double of what was killed, stolen, lost and damaged. (Job 1 and 2; Job 42:10)

While Joseph was a slave and prisoner, God was planning for him to be second in command over Egypt. (Genesis 39:19-21 and 41:41)

When Ruth was a homeless, childless widow, God was creating a home in Boaz’s heart for her to be his wife. God also knew she’d one day be a mother and years later a great, great, great-grandmother to Jesus. (Ruth 1:4-5 and 4:13-17)

When David lay down in adultery, God was laying the groundwork for him to rise up and repent. (2 Samuel 2:4; Psalm 51)

When Peter lost faith and denied Christ, God knew Peter would be instrumental in growing the Christian church by proclaiming Christ to thousands. (Mark 14:66-72; Acts 2:38-41)

While Mary watched Jesus dying on the cross, God had full knowledge of Jesus being resurrected and seated on His heavenly throne! (John 19:25-30; Revelation 3:21)

No matter what the dire, dreary circumstances, God turned each into a hopeful future.

God can reverse, restore, revive, and renew. Be on the lookout for His plans that are already in motion right now, even in the midst of your difficult time. Trust Him. He can take any circumstance and use it for your good and His glory.

The power of Words

I love to read devotionals because I receive a sense of empowerment and encouragement that no matter what I am going through, everything is going to be ok. We can all relate, I'm sure. The simple thought of knowing that things may have slipped from our control but nothing slips God is comforting. He has and will always have control over everything in our life! And something that I have told myself repeatedly is that words are powerful. The words that come out of your mouth have power to bless or curse, it has power to shift a negative atmosphere to a positive one. Your thoughts are translated into words and those words have power to bring forth change. Need a change in your life? It starts with your declaration. Make sure that your words coincide with the results you want to see. The bible says "Keep this Book of the Law [word of God] always on your lips; meditating on it day and night [your thoughts], so that you may be careful to do everything written in it [obedience]. Then you will be prosperous and successful [God's blessings]. {Joshua 1:8}

I came across this awesome word from Dr. Cindy Trimm and I wanted to share it with you. I know it will bless and encourage you!!

A certain cleaning brand has a new series of commercials that are really powerful! Have you seen the ads where people are blindfolded and asked to describe what they smell? In each instance, they are brought to a place overflowing with garbage, dirty socks, or rotting food. But, in every case, the blindfolded test subjects have a pleasant response, saying it smells like the ocean, clean laundry, or tropical breezes.

In each of the commercials, we're promised that this wonderful product has the ability to transform the environment from disgusting to delightful; that no place is so odiferous that a few sprays of this amazing cleaner can't make it pleasant again.

Whether you believe the product claims or not, it does provide a great parallel for what you and I can experience in our lives. You see, you are likely to find yourself in places that aren't always pleasant. Maybe you're dealing with stress or conflict on the job. Maybe your home has become anything but a place of peace and rest. It doesn't have to stay that way!

You can neutralize the negative effects of what has taken place in your home and in your business by what you put into the atmosphere. You have been empowered by God to infuse His Presence, His Promises, His Provision, and His Protection into your environment. You have the power within you to change your surroundings - wherever you are - into a place of peace and prosperity... because GOD is within YOU!

In fact, you can initiate the change you want through the power of your words. Job 22:28 states that you can decree a thing and it shall be established. The power of blessing and cursing, even life and death, is in the words you speak.

It's time for you to take authority with your words. Put them to work FOR you instead of against you by declaring your home and business blessed!

Powerful words by Dr. Cindy Trimm, huh? I encourage you to not say what you don't want to see, but declare [speak] what you want to see happen in your life, in your family, in your situation. Your words, when aligned with the word of God are powerful and life-changing. I will leave you with this verse, "For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edge sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. {Hebrews 4:12}

We are nothing without God

As I was reading my daily devotional this morning, I couldn’t help but to share this one with all of you guys. Yes- it's that good! God is so amazing and when we come to realize that we are nothing without Him and everything with Him, our lives begin to make sense and we start to find our true purpose and identity in Him.

{These words come from Joyce Meyer and I hope it blesses your life as it has blessed my life.}

God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things- and the things that are not- to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him.
1 Corinthians 1:27-29 NIV

It amazes me that God chooses weak and foolish men and women to work through, but He does. He chooses what the secular world would throw away as trash and consider useless. When God is looking for someone to fill a position or to promote, He often passes over those who will be naturally qualified if they are the type to be proud of themselves and not give Him the credit and glory for their abilities. God works through the humble, but He frustrates and defeats the proud (see 1 Pet. 5:5).

God loves to lift up those whom life has pressed down. You are special to God and He has a promotion in mind for you. He desires that we live amazed at what He can do through a submitted vessel. God is not looking for ability, but He is looking for availability. Humble yourself under the mighty land of God, and in due time He will exalt you and lift you up. Don’t discount yourself from being used by God because of your natural weaknesses or disadvantages. He is more than happy to show Himself strong in those who will trust Him.
Pride comes before destruction, so always remember to give God the credit for any good things that He does through you. Our gifts, talents, and abilities all come from Him. What do we have that He did not give us? Absolutely nothing! Therefore, all the praise goes to Him.
Trust in Him: Even though you don’t deserve it and may not be naturally qualified, trust God to use you for His glory.

Father, Here I Am

On the last blog post, I was talking about the importance of "growing up" and maturing because God has a lot of great things in store for each and every one of us. His desire is to bless us abundantly, but we must be prepared to handle the great blessings when they come. That is why today, I want to talk about the importance of establishing a solid and intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father.

You see, the only way we will truly be able to tap into God's presence is through intimacy. He longs to have a relationship with us because He is able to reveal Himself in a more personal and direct way. There are hidden secrets that our Father will only reveal to us when we begin to cultivate an intimate relationship with Him. Through constant prayer and seeking His face, we will see things that we have never seen before. We will experience things that we have never experienced before. Through simply telling Him, "Father, Here I Am" you are allowing yourself to be accessible to the will and desires of Him. The Bible says that our thoughts are not His thoughts, and our ways are not His ways. His plans for our lives will always be greater than what we ever imagined.

That is why I am so excited to talk about a book that will help you get to the place of intimacy that you need to be at with your Heavenly Father. It's a 40 day devotional for women written by author: Joann Rosario-Condrey. This book has been such a blessing to so many women who have already read it.

Everything in your life must start with PRAYER! You need guidance for something? Pray about it. You have a big decision coming up? Pray about it. You need a financial breakthrough? Pray about it. You need healing? Pray about it. You know God is calling you to fulfill His purpose in your life? Prayer will lead you directly to your destiny. What am I trying to say here? Without an intimate relationship with our Father who is in Heaven, we cannot expect things to go right in our lives. You want to be successful? Spend time with the one who can make you successful, your Father. You need favor and grace upon your life? You need doors to be opened for you?  You need the windows of heaven to open up for you and have God's blessings pour down on you? Get close to the one who can provide all of that for you, your Father!

I encourage you today to invest in your life, invest in your future, invest in your relationship with your Father and read this book. I will take it a step further, Men: Read this book too! You will benefit from it as well. God has so many great things for us, you just have to believe and tap into them. There are hidden treasures and specific blessings with our names written all over them that  will only be revealed and released through prayer and through developing an intimate relationship with your Father. Are you ready to discover what He has for you? You're only a prayer away!
