The Miracle Blessing

Last Wednesday I was able to witness a miracle blessing, my baby nephew was brought into this world and he has changed our lives completely. It’s hard to believe that tomorrow will mark one week of his special delivery into our family. To be able to presence this unbelievable experience was truly remarkable and once again it shows us how miraculous the work of God is.

And this just got me thinking that if God is able to create such a wonderful and perfect being in the womb of a mother; He can create a wonderful and perfect plan in our lives as well. Just as a mother has to be patient and wait until her unborn child is fully developed and ready to be exposed into the real world, we too have to be willing to be patient enough to wait for God’s perfect timing because in due time, His plan will be revealed and manifested.

Just as a mother’s body senses when it’s time to deliver, your spirit will sense when your time is ready. Whether you have just begun your journey or you are full term and ready to go into labor, continue to take this time to prepare for your miracle blessing. Many have prayed, believed, declared and confessed their miracles, their healing, their destiny and God has heard them. Do not be afraid when the time comes to deliver, you will have to push your promise out, it may take one push or it may take several pushes. The pain will be inevitable but with every breath, remember your purpose, remember why you’re pushing, remember your miracle blessing. After you birth it out, you will look back and say, all the pain and suffering was worth it because I am now holding and possessing my miracle blessing!

But.. what if?

Have you ever wanted something really bad and did everything the way you were supposed to; I mean you crossed all of your T’s and dotted all of your I’s, and nothing?  Have you thought about how you would feel or react if things simply didn’t go as planned? I often think about it, especially in this walk of faith that day to day we endure. Life is a journey with many peaks and valleys, highs and lows, good and bad. How do we maintain a steady and balanced state of mind when things simply do not go our way, when prayers are not answered, when we don’t receive what we want but receive what we did not expect? Let’s talk about the many “But.. what if’s” that surprises and confronts us. What should our reaction be?

But.. what if I’ve been praying day in and day out for a specific request and God doesn’t answer or simply “delays” his answer? How am I going to react? Will I stop praying because I didn’t get my answer when I wanted or how I wanted it? Have you thought about that?

But.. what if I’ve been declaring God’s healing power over my sick body and I do not receive healing? Am I going to stop declaring? Will I stop believing that God heals because He didn’t do it for me? Have you thought about that?

But.. what if my faith is SO big and I am believing for something BIG and I am wrapped around God’s promises to the point that my faith is not shaken. I know that I know that I know it will come to pass (next week). And it’s a month later and everything is still the same. Will my faith be shaken? Will I still believe and know that I know that it will happen? Or will I just give up? Have you thought about that?

And there are countless examples that I’m sure you can think of as well. The point here is this: What will your attitude be if what you are asking, declaring, and confessing with faith turns out to a big “but what if” moment in your life? It appears out of the blue to disrupt your smooth connection of faith and prayer with your Heavenly Father.  I am the first one to believe in prayer, having faith, in declaring God’s promises and all of those beautiful biblical affirmations. But it is important to understand that our prayers are channeled to the throne of God through this question: Is it God’s perfect will? Sometimes we will receive exactly what we want and ask for, because it was God’s perfect will at that particular moment. Many times, we will have to wait, wait, and wait a little longer to receive our blessing. The word of God says in Proverbs 10:22 that “The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it”. When God blesses, there will be no sorrow, confusion, bitterness, none of that. God’s blessings bring peace, love and joy. So many times, it is in God’s perfect will to answer that request but it's simply  not the right time. And that is why we must learn how to not only have faith but also, wait in the Lord for His perfect timing. You may be in God’s perfect will but be out of His perfect timing and that can be damaging to our lives.

I would like to propose that in this New Year, only 9 days new we really think about this. This is the time where we are still pretty fresh and excited about the New Year and we are on cloud 9 with our resolutions. Our prayer lives is in full speed and we believe for anything and everything good to happen to us. And I am all for that! I’m actually one of those people! Lol But let’s take a moment to think about the “But.. what if’s” . This will relieve us from many heart breaks, frustration and even anger toward life-and God.

When the “But.. what if’s” pop up, simply say THANK YOU! Thank you Lord because things didn’t happen the way I expected, they happened exactly the way you wanted them to happen. Then what? Then keep doing what you were doing. Your biggest mistake will be to simply give up. Continue praying, continue believing, and continue giving thanks because if it didn’t happen when you wanted, it will happen God wants. His timing is impeccable – and His clock is always on point, literally! If He didn’t answer a prayer when you wanted, do not give up!! He’s working on something bigger and even better.. Just wait a little longer! Do not get caught up in the moment; open your eyes to God's vision. And you will see what God sees, for we only see the  puzzle piece but He sees the whole picture.

Power Source

For those who know me, I’m always on my phone or my iPad doing something. My important notes, messages, studies are on those devices; a lot of the chapters written in my book are documented in there. I write my blogs many times on my iPad, an idea or event often comes to life because I jot it down on my phone (real quick)…What am I trying to say? I use electronic devices a lot; it’s a powerful and practical tool that makes my life a lot easier. Thank you Apple, thank you Siri.. Lol

It’s funny because sometimes I freak out because I’m running low on battery and I feel the need to charge my phone or iPad now, not in ten minutes, not in two minutes but NOW because I am losing power. Just like we look forward to plugging in our devices every night to make sure we have a full charged battery for the next day, we should also be as eager to plugin with God through prayer.

Prayer is power! Your place of prayer is your place of power. God is our power source and in order to feel fully recharged every day, we must pray every day. You can have all of the resources, be the best in your field, the most creative and talented person but if you do not plug yourself to the power source, which is God, you are slowly dying.  Just as a phone or any other electronic device has vital information and is very useful, if it’s not charged, that information becomes useless.

We all should look forward to our prayer time; it’s our time to connect with God. It is through prayer that we receive revelation and direction from our power source. With each prayer we say, God revitalizes us and our battery percentage goes up until we are fully charged. Through prayer we receive power because The Almighty Powerful One lives in us and is manifested through us. Prayer gives us power to conquer and to believe that ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.

I encourage you today to stay connected with God through prayer, if you find yourself running low on battery, plug in. Only prayer can connect you to the power you need to keep alive.

Weather it out

I was reading a quote that I saw Kimberly Jones post and it said this:

Sometimes, you just have to bow your head, say a prayer, and weather the storm.

There will be moments in life when the storm is so strong that the only thing you can do is bow your head and pray--that will be your survival mode. The bowing of your head is an act of humility and prayer is recognizing that your help comes from above, from God.

Are you going through a storm right now?  Think you may not be able to make it?  Think again, you can and will weather it out!  You’ve held on this long, you enter into survival mode when you get into prayer mode.

God will not leave you stranded in the middle of the storm. He is there with you and He will also bring you out of it, victoriously!!  You will survive the storm!!

Psalms 118:17 says: I will not die; instead, I will live to tell what the Lord has done.

Today, I want to remind you that you will make it out alive and you will share your story to many people who will need to hear about it. Most importantly, you will be a witness that if you were able to come out of it, they too can be survivors.

In the meantime, bow your head, say a prayer and weather out your storm because on the other side of the storm, the sun is waiting to shine bright on you.

Expect Favor

As I was reading my daily devotional today, I came across a word that I’ve been declaring all year.  If you are in my inner circle and know me, you know that I’ve declared that this is the year of the Yes, the year of granted requests.  The word “favor” has been in my vocabulary in 2013 and so far, I’ve seen pretty cool things happen- definitely God’s favor.  This word was such a blessing to me and once again a reminder that God’s favor and blessing is upon us, we just have to confess it and believe it. This word comes from one of my favorites: Joyce Meyer!
Enjoy it and receive it in the name of Jesus!

[What, what would have become of me] had I not believed that I would see the Lord’s goodness in the land of the living! Wait and hope for and expect the Lord; be brave and of good courage and let your heart be stout and enduring.  Yes, wait for and hope for and expect the Lord. -Psalm 27:13-14

God wants to give you favor-kindness that you don’t deserve.  We see mention of God’s favor toward many in the Bible, and there’s no reason to think He can’t offer it to you as well.  Learn to believe God for favor.  Confess several times a day that you have favor with God and man.  You will be amazed at the exciting things that happen to you if you speak God’s Word instead of how you feel.
Supernatural favor can be expressed in different ways.  You may get the job you want but are not naturally qualified for.  People seem to like you for no special reason.  You get the best seat in the restaurant with the best waiter.  People give you things for no reason at all.  Favor means that someone will stop and let you into a line of traffic while others are zooming by as if you are not even there.

Living in God’s favor is very exciting.  When Joseph was cruelly mistreated by his brothers and they sold him into slavery, God gave him favor everywhere he went. He had favor with Potiphar and was placed in charge of his household. He had favor with the jailer during his imprisonment for a crime he did not commit.  He had so much favor with Pharaoh that Joseph became second only to Pharaoh in power.  Yes, walking in God’s favor is an exciting way to live.  We see so many men and women whom we admire in the Bible being given favor: Ruth, Esther, Daniel, and Abraham, just to name a few.  Resist and refuse to let doubt convince you that good things won’t happen to you and your family; aggressively expect good things!

Trust in Him:
Ask God to give you divine, supernatural favor, and then trust He’ll do it as you look for in in your life.

Worrying is Pointless

One of my absolute favorite author, speaker, teacher, preacher (you name it & she's it!) is Joyce Meyer.  She is such an inspiration to so many women.. well ok, men too! lol and it's always a blessing to see, hear or read her stuff!!

This morning, I was prompted to read today's daily devotion by one of her books, "Trusting God day by day." I just have to say THANK YOU to my sister for getting me that book last weekend; thus far it's been such a blessing. And not only was I prompted to read today's message but I was lead to share it with a few of my lady friends and I know it was a blessing to them as well.  But it does not end there; I want to share it with you as well. This is just a small part of what it says:

March 19th
"Relax! God Is Working"

If you know you can't fix the problem you have, then why not relax while God is working on it? If things don't go your way, instead of being upset, you can believe that getting your way was not what you needed. God knew that, so He gave you what was best for you, instead of what you wanted.
If you are waiting much longer than you had hoped to, you can get frustrated, angry, and upset, or you can say, "God's timing is perfect; He is never late.  And my steps are ordered by the Lord." Now you can relax and simply go with the flow of what is happening in your life.  When it comes to things that are out of our control, we can either ruin the day or relax and enjoy it while God is working on the situation.  As long as we believe, God keeps working! -Joyce Meyer

Isn’t it amazing when we can rely solely on God's plans for our lives?  Want to relieve stress?  Want to let go of the pressure?  Let go and let God.  Yes, I know what you're going to say?  Easier said than done, right?  I'm not saying you're going to be able to accomplish it today, sometimes it may take days, months, and years for you to fully let go and trust God completely.  We want to be in control, I get it, who doesn't?  But the more we let go, the more freedom we gain.  Trust God for those things that are out of your control, He always has your back and your best interest at hand.  The more we trust, the less we stress.  The less we stress, the less we worry and the less we worry, quite frankly, the happier we will be.

Studies have shown that there is really absolutely no point in worrying, look at these percentages.

40% of things most people worry about never happen;
30% of what we worry about has already happened and cannot be changed;
22%of what we worry about regards problems which are beyond our control; only
8% of what we worry about are situations over which we have any influence.

Have you ever thought about it?  What is the point of worrying?  It's pointless! You do not resolve anything! Henry Ford said it best: "I believe God is managing affairs and that He doesn't need any advice from me.  With God in charge, I believe everything will work out for the best in the end.  So what is there to worry about."
Instead of exhausting all of your energy thinking.. thinking.. and more thinking then worrying, stressing and getting aggravated, put your trust in the one who has all of the answers!  News flash: We do not know the future, God does! Trust Him, trust His plan. Trust His purpose for your life. Jeremiah 29:11 says: For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

He already knows everything about you, about your life and about your future.  You may not see the big picture today but your vision will be a lot clearer tomorrow.  God will make a way as long as you get out of the way.  Don't worry, Be Happy... God has it ALL under control!
And I want to leave you with this:
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication , with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. -Philippians 4:6-7

Father, Here I Am

On the last blog post, I was talking about the importance of "growing up" and maturing because God has a lot of great things in store for each and every one of us. His desire is to bless us abundantly, but we must be prepared to handle the great blessings when they come. That is why today, I want to talk about the importance of establishing a solid and intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father.

You see, the only way we will truly be able to tap into God's presence is through intimacy. He longs to have a relationship with us because He is able to reveal Himself in a more personal and direct way. There are hidden secrets that our Father will only reveal to us when we begin to cultivate an intimate relationship with Him. Through constant prayer and seeking His face, we will see things that we have never seen before. We will experience things that we have never experienced before. Through simply telling Him, "Father, Here I Am" you are allowing yourself to be accessible to the will and desires of Him. The Bible says that our thoughts are not His thoughts, and our ways are not His ways. His plans for our lives will always be greater than what we ever imagined.

That is why I am so excited to talk about a book that will help you get to the place of intimacy that you need to be at with your Heavenly Father. It's a 40 day devotional for women written by author: Joann Rosario-Condrey. This book has been such a blessing to so many women who have already read it.

Everything in your life must start with PRAYER! You need guidance for something? Pray about it. You have a big decision coming up? Pray about it. You need a financial breakthrough? Pray about it. You need healing? Pray about it. You know God is calling you to fulfill His purpose in your life? Prayer will lead you directly to your destiny. What am I trying to say here? Without an intimate relationship with our Father who is in Heaven, we cannot expect things to go right in our lives. You want to be successful? Spend time with the one who can make you successful, your Father. You need favor and grace upon your life? You need doors to be opened for you?  You need the windows of heaven to open up for you and have God's blessings pour down on you? Get close to the one who can provide all of that for you, your Father!

I encourage you today to invest in your life, invest in your future, invest in your relationship with your Father and read this book. I will take it a step further, Men: Read this book too! You will benefit from it as well. God has so many great things for us, you just have to believe and tap into them. There are hidden treasures and specific blessings with our names written all over them that  will only be revealed and released through prayer and through developing an intimate relationship with your Father. Are you ready to discover what He has for you? You're only a prayer away!
